    Default Battery Life

I was wondering if the battery life of the bold 9790 is comparable to that of the bold 9700. I have been using the 9700 for a couple of years and I am looking for an upgrade - the 9790 seemed like the obvious choice.

Just this week I upgraded to a 9790 from a 9780 and kinda miss it's battery life. In all honesty it's not comparable. Not as bad as 9900 but not as great as on the 9700 or the 9780.

For a long time I've been using two batteries for my blackberries so I have two batteries for my new 9790. I can go all day on a single charge on the 9790 and replace it the next morning, so far I haven't ran out of battery on a single day on the 9790 but my old 9780 lasted for a day and a half easily.

If you charge your phone every night I think you shouldn't have a problem...

PS I love my new 9790! It's so slim and light!

What about the keyboard. Is it better than the 9780 series? I see that the keys that are rounded on the edge, is it easy to type with that keys?

My bold 9700 recently died and I was not able to fix it, this is why I am researching what is better to buy a new 9780 or a 9790. I hope to find a new 9780.

i started using again my 9700 because my Bold 9900 was stolen, I don't miss it because all the issues I have with that phone like poor battery, in 3 months I have 3 9900 phones and the third one was stolen.

I think you'll be happy with a 9790. The keyboard is as good as the 9700/9780 so I don't think of it as a problem. You should be fine with the 9790's battery life if you charge overnight every day.

On a side note, I honestly recommend you consider upgrading your stock OS to a leak or an official release (deleting vendor.xml file) from some other carrier. Look into these forums and you'll get a lot of help for doing that.

You gotta remember the 9790 is touch screen which will for sure cause battery drainage the 9700/80 are plain Jane`s but the batteries.... Amazing life..
I have noticed a slight increase in battery life with .402 leaked though been using it now for 3 weeks.

The 9790 is a very good phone, by no way you can compare it to the 9900.

The 9900 has a lot of issues like poor battery, bricking issues, needs to restart it every 3 days, you can recharge it at night and a lot more issues.
