7.1 battery life NOT GOOD!

I'm running 7.1 on my 9790! I've run battery tests and the average per hour is a 11.39 drop! That's not good, I've turned 3G off and everything, I've only been using 2G. the brightness is on the lowest setting and I close all apps, I don't even use the phone much. My phone battery died after 5 hours today! Battery saver mode was 'always on'

Can I have some help please? Thanks

That's kind of odd.

I have been on 7.1.0.402 (yesterday's leak) since 7AM this morning and I am at 75% now which is just shy of 4PM.

I would wonder if you have something auto updating, like Twitter or Facebook or any other application in the background?

What version of 7.1 are you on?

wow me too I been on 7.1.0.402 since yesterday this is by far the best battery life I got since all the updates. I been using it since 8am this morning and its now at 50% and to me
that's great considering I been doing heavy web browsing today along with heavy BBM use.
yeah also watch out for those apps Be-weather was killing my battery life

Check out this thread, it appears as though the 9790 did get the .402 leak yesterday as well.

Put it back on 3G and make sure your GPS is turned off. I made the mistake of leaving mine on while surfing/streaming and it sucked my battery dry after only a few hours. I'm running .163 but I think this may work for you.

yeah.. I'm also using OS 7.1.0.402 and the battery life is now great

Because I had that same poor battery life issue, also it was heating up when in use (clocking over 40 degrees and it was only BBM and fb usage), and sometimes even temp reading over 38 degrees and it didn't even feel hot. I did all battery saving techniques but nothing. Battery pulls neither. So now with 7.1 bundle 840 (7.1.0.247 platform 9.16.0.88) battery is back to normal and lasts pretty well. Haven't really got an estimate for a day because I only downgraded yesterday

PS: I believe both are unofficial

[I'm still trying to sell to replace with Bold 9900] No Rush though.
