Today i received a weird popup after i unlocked my phone, it had something that looked like a video link, and had the options, ok, postpone, delete.. im not sure what this is as i have no appoinments, calendar entries or tasks set.. can anyone advise what it was?, i also dont go to any weird sites or download any weird applications. my permissions are all locked down to default to deny.

What apps do you have installed? Check them all through. Maybe one has been updated and "new features" added? (OR may be enough of a memory jog to remember the app you installed six months ago which may now be doing this...)

Check through your MMS messages. Maybe that was a message sent to you with a video or image attached?

How often do you restart the phone?

When was the last time you accessed the internet? Was it since the last time you restarted the phone? (Maybe it was left over from a session when you were online)

Attach phone to PC. Check through the videos and pictures folders. See if there is anything you don't recognise.

I have whatsapp, facebook, garmin, berry weather, berry buzz... those are the only apps.

I dont have any mms messages, and i didnt have any old browser session active, i also dont have any weird videos on the phone either.

Any ideas?

Well, most of those are respectable companies. Well, apart from the unrequested spam that Berry sends out to the phone's email accounts without permission. I wouldn't put it past them to be moving to pop-ups.

It is hard to say if it is now not happening to you. You can only really watch out for it to happen again and try and get more details of that popup. All notification messages from the normal phone are just text. I don't know about the pop-up options of the rest of the apps you have installed.
