cant get viigo on 9780. just got phone am i doing something wrong. had it on 9700 or is it a os6 thing

Just choose the 'BlackBerry Bold 2' option from the list... works fine

Well, Kcarter. Seems RIM bought Viigo. Your social feeds app is assumedly part of that acquisition. Yet, just today there was a posting (http://crackberry.com/rim-launches-b...ews-feeds-beta) about a new news feeds app. That is definitely a part of the acquisition. So, no, I don't think you're not doing anything wrong. For most 9780 stuff (themes, apps, etc) it will be a matter of patience as devs await the SDKs, APIs, or whatever it is they need. As for Viigo.... Since RIM now owns them, we're waiting on RIM. Social Feeds is what you have for now and that new app is coming.

Aw... I tot viigo wasnt compatible with os6. I bought the feeds - google reader. Didnt work. Damn my money wasted. Thanks phil. got it up and working now

Ok my findings of the the Viigo 3.1 is that the images load alongside with the text. The version I was using on my curve 8520 loads the text instantly once I click into a topic (must've been downloaded along with the titles) and then the images will load afterwards while I start to read. 3.1 waits for the image to load together with the article. This means if the photo is larger in size, you will be looking at a blank screen for 10-20 seconds before anything appears.
The text also doesnt wrap properly when the images are loaded. It extends a bit to the right. Only option is to turn of images, then the texts are properly formatted.
I want the old style back :S

Viigo did not work for me. Error messages when opening any section (weather, news, etc) Looks like it's BlackBerry News Feeds for me!

I managed to install VIIGO, but when Igo to the news, the font is huge, and Ican not scroll left and right.... The text is over screen...
I have tried Social Feeds, but not showing the number of news news, can not save, can not unread, open story in brower....
I have tried XPRSS,but not showing the number of news....same Socal Feeds, only with the unread method...
Anybody found a new free soft which give a Viigo Experienced?BB BOLD 5.0.0.190

I totally agree with hugolin69. I have walked the same way that him.
I have just downloaded the new News Feed application from RIM. Better that Social Feeds, but far from the easy of use of Viigo. You can't, i.e., delete or mark as read a whole RSS. You have to delete message by message.
Some adventages over Social Feeds: you see the number of new messages in each feed. But it needs more development. That's clear to me.Last edited by sva03066; 02-03-2011 at 06:14 AM.
