    Default Video in 9780

    Hi,

Im having some problems with putting video into my bb. Everything is fine actually, except that my video in the device seems a little weird. There's delay in my videos, meaning to say for example, the audio only comes out after the scene is over. Delay about 3-4 secs. It's a little annoying. My fail is in mp4 format. Any solutions to this problem?

Btw, do you check the "convert video" box while syncing in the device manager?

    Thanks.

Try to convert the Video with Handbrake (HandBrake).

    1) Download Handbrake
    2) Open the Video
    3) Select "Classic" in the Preset Column (or Legacy --> Classic)
    4) Hit Start

If this does not help do Step 1-3 again plus

    4) Check "Keep Aspect Ratio" in the Picture tab
    5) Set the width to 480 pixels, but don't change the height
    6) Go to the Video Tab and set the Framrate to 23,976
    7) Adjust the Average Bitrate to 750
    8) On the Audio Tab set Mixdown to Stereo
    9) Hit Start

I dunno, since I don't synchronize my device - have you tried copying the files to an SD-Card?

And can you open the media files with your Device (only Synchronisation failes?)

    Welcome to the forums.

Battery pull time (with the device on, remove the battery for 30-40 seconds).

Make sure the codecs you used to create the mp4s match what the 9780 can play.

    Oh okay.

What format do you get after you convert your files using handbrake? My output settings is preset classic. Container MP4 files. But what i usually get is M4V. Are the same? Can i drag AVI files into handbrake to convert them for my BB? Because what i normally do is convert my AVI files into MP4 then use the MP4 files for handbrake.

    Yes and Yes

Your Berry can play M4V-Files just fine, same as MP4.
However, M4V is not the same as MP4 but both are close.

And of course you can convert them from AVI to MP4 direcly with Handbrake
