Hi,

I am going to buy a BB 9780 from a friend, before I buy it I was wondering if it is possible to use rogers sim card on BB. Like unlocking.
Sorry I am new to this.

He used it with rogers or fido I think anyway
Currently I have a vivaz pro with rogers with a data plan unlimited internet for 3 years. I want to use it on the BB.
Once I unlock the BB is it possible for me to use my vivaz sim card on the BB 9780 I am going to buy? Like will the BBM service work even though I don't have a BB plan but a vivaz pro plan?

I'm really not sure, the best option is to try it and Rogers might tell you or change it automatically. But you need special data as BlackBerry data works differently to normal mobile data. Talk to somebody in a Rogers store possible.

You should have no problems at all, with the exception of BBM. You will have to modify your data plan to a Blackberry Data Plan. The nice thing is, that a BB will be able to do everything on a regular data plan with the exception of BBM, and access to the App store, so you can spend some time playing with it, browsing, emailing, etc... before changing over your data plan.

I've been able to use my BB on a regular data plan that my Android was on, without any issues, other than what I stated above.
