Default Tried updating my bold 9780...

Last night I tried to update the os on my bold 9780 to no avail. I downloaded the latest version of desktop manager, downloaded and installed the 9780 os it was like .668 and after that I deleted the vendor.xml file and tried to update my bb through the desktop manager figuring it would pickup the new os I just installed but it didn't. It only showed the current os and a previous version(downgrade). So then I went in and opened up the apploader.exe program but that didn't let me update the os either just showed me my apps, I have no idea what I did wrong and need some help, thanks

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling swisscom .668 and i wiped my bb with bbsak, again in every single one of these programs, bbsak, apploader.exe, and bb desktop manager, its telling me the OS i have installed dosent exist and i cant choose it to load it onto my device. Ive deleted the vendor.xml file in c:/ program files x86/ common files/research in motion/apploader and the path you posted does not exist anywhere. I have no idea why the this is so difficult. Now im essentially left with a phone with no OS and cannot load on one thats been installed. Any help is appreciated thanks again. Using windows 7 x86 btw

A similar path to the one I posted will exist on win7 86, but if you can't be bothered to search for it then use this app instead... http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-os-apps-f35/vendelete-search-delete-vendor-xml-files-709738/#post7242490
It will search your PC for you, and automatically delete the second vendor.xml file.

Thanks but apparently putting the actual folder of the os in the app loader allowed it show up in loader.exe, thanks for the help again
