Please check behind your battery and see what country it was made in and the number!
"Made in Mexico 4" or "Made in Mexico 1"

I have the mexico 1 and it has the problem. I believe the Mexico 1's are the culprit and cannot be fixed. I tried everything.

I need to buy another phone and need to know that the Mexico 4's are the one to buy.

Not sure where which location would sell a made in Canada one. I was hoping mine were but they are both mexico white is mexico 1 and black one is mexico 4 and both do not have any issue with double typing. Good luck on your quest to figure it out.

brava, I tried to go this route with my other thread to see if we could figure out which devices were most affected... It didn't work out... There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to is... My first device was MEXICO 1, it had the issue, my replacement device was MEXICO 1, it didn't have the issue.... Also seen people with MEXICO 4 devices that have the issue as well, and then others with that build that don't....

Exchanging will be hit or miss.... Ubizmo didn't get a good device until his 4th replacement.... Just be persistent if you like the phone....

Mexico 4, no issues except when using Windows Live Messenger (gets logged off, and receives an "unexpected server error" message).

But no keyboard problems at all and nice solid track pad.
