Second crash in two days!
As you can see, I've been posting on here a lot lately.
My new phone, which I picked up this morning and spent all day setting up, seems to have crashed again. It is in a constant reboot cycle because of an app I installed for the first time. I like to create whole lines of apps and I was looking to replace some that I don't use. Therefore I deserve this crappy treatment from RIM.
I spent all day getting everything restored even though I have it backed up. I know how easily most of you advise to just "wipe it all" but how is that possible? Do you get more hours in a day; days in a week? Safe mode doesn't work. I just need to get into my phone one time to delete the app and continue.
This is the third straight day I've been dealing with phone problems. I can't do this anymore: I'm a graduate student and have piles of papers to write. Please help me! - 06-14-2012, 02:57 AM #2
What app?

You need to wipe your phone using BBSAK or similar app, then reload the latest OS version. If you don't have the time, then find it, because you'll just be back here again tomorrow... and the next day...
After that, do a selective restore of ONLY your important data (contacts, messages, calendar entries), nothing else. You might have some corrupt/incompatible data or setting in your full backup that's causing the rebooting issue. Set up the phone to your personal preference from scratch, then start reinstalling your apps, one at a time.
If you start having problems after installing a particular app, then remove it and find an alternative. Some apps don't play nicely with others, and some are just plain buggy, so only use those from reputable developers.
