Is it possible to read backup files?
I just got a new phone after losing my 9780. I switched company and phone, and now I'm wondering if there's a way to read the backup file? I would like to identify any apps and other information that may not be on my new phone.

I have ran into the same issue. Lost my BlackBerry Bold 9780 and need to read some texts that were saved. The file is .BBB I have done a google search and found MagicBerry and ABC Amber. Got the latest version of MagicBerry and even though the description said it could do BBB files I got an error about Could not create Parsh file.
Do not have the full error message because I uninstalled it. - 02-17-2013, 02:46 PM #4
Hi, you could try the BlackBerry Backup Extractor. It reads both .ipd and .bbb files, so you should be able to get data out from your backup. Try the free version first to see if it works to find what you need. I'm with the BlackBerry Backup Extractor team, if you have any issues contact us.
