    Default possible faulty battery?

I have a 2nd hand 9780 and its almost 1 year I tried many os but it seems I didn't succed. Does my battery already dying? Because I'm just using bbm 2G signal and it seems I lost 1% every 6 or 5 minutes when I'm using bbm. Is this normal? Thanks in advance

Well you can try out a spare battery if you can get one? Won't hurt it. Since it's already 1 years old.
And you already tried different OS's versions. Aslong if you already tried all the other alternatives ofc.

Check what apps are running - some will eat a lot of battery due to adverts and constant use of GPS.

Be aware that if you have a bad signal, you will use more battery power up. I live in a house with an awful coverage and when on 2G or 3G battery is eaten quicker due to the signal having to be boosted. Once I swapped to using UMA at home the battery life has improved massively. 2 to 3 days is easy, often more.

You could also experiment with setting the phone as "2G Only" when you are in the non-3G areas. Otherwise the phone may keep looking for that 3G signal that is not there.

Also turn off Bluetooth and WiFi if you are not using them.

UMA is the Blackberry's ability to use a Wireless Network to carry phone calls and route via the internet. Handy when reception is bad like in my house. This has to be supported by your carrier.

And then i just installed tinymeter and it records 1.2% discharge when idle. Gonna observe when im gonna use my phone since i didnt touch my phone for almost 8 hours. As I am on Orange Mobile here in the UK they support UMA. This means I can make Phone Calls when I get no 2G or 3G signal. It is the phone calls that are routed over the internet instead of via the normal mobile phone network.

Back to your battery - check which apps are running. Hold the Blackberry Menu button for a second or two and it will pop up a list of running apps. You can close everything except Home, Phone, BBM, Browser, Messages. If you have other apps listed, try to close them. Or carefully watch the difference your battery monitor shows when they are enabled.

Also check what the battery life is like after a battery pull.

(Note - I do not use battery monitors as they just waste my battery... I am also not on Facebook, Twatter, or "free" apps on my phone.)

Be careful with replacement batteries. There are a big number of fake and dodgy batteries coming out of China. So if it seems cheap, be careful.

Also worth noting, my battery is also one year old and still working well.

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you! I would definitely recommend getting a new battery. Go to your carrier's store and ask for one - they will sell it to you. I am sure there are guarantees with it or some kind of return policy so if something happens that you're not satisfied, you could most likely get your money back (keep your receipt and all of the original packaging). My phone goes through a similar thing with battery drainage... It might last for about 16-20 hours and then it'll die at 15-20%... Which is saddening but I'll only replace the battery if it gets worse. I hope you get your battery issues resolved soon!!
