Default photos taken not being displayed with a thumbnail

For some reason, any photos taken are not being displayed with a thumbnail icon when viewing their folder.
This has started to happen for the past week and affects all photos taken from the past week onwards.
Previously taken photos still display with a thumbnail.

Any ideas how to recify this?

    Many thanks in advance.

Just thinking out loud, but it sounds like the thumbnail cache is corrupted. Not sure where it would be though. (Plugs in phone to check)

Now this is a logical guess.... but plugin your phone and look at this folder:

    I:\BlackBerry\system\media

You will have to turn on Hidden Files in Windows (or type the path by hand to get there).

In here I see files called thumbs116x116.dat, thumbs116x116.key, thumbs480x360.dat, thumbs480x360.key. I'd start by deleting them.

May be an idea to backup in case it goes wrong. Certainly backup photos etc before you do this.

Once those cache files are deleted, run a Disk Check on the memory card while it is attached to the PC.

    Then see what happens.
