OS 6 Not liking as much

Does anyone know if there's a way to get rid of the search bar at the top of the screen and where the icons are at the bottom to get it to be like OS 5 where you can't scroll to different categories like favorites, media etc.

That's the only thing I don't like about OS 6, I wish the homescreen was still like 5

There are lot of things about OS6 I hate too,
E.g., enter doesn't opens a link.
Accidental scrool changes icon layout.
Double bb menu key press for menu screen.
Absence of download folder,
OS is laggy and slow on new hardware with 512 RAM.

I hope RIM will fix these issues soon.

There will be themes out soon enough. The universal search is perhaps the best feature on OS6. Be nice were it hidden though. As for the other complaints listed by infinus, I haven't had the first three on any build. For a "Download" folder, from the home screen press menu, make folder, name it Downloads, scroll to the top, click it, menu, options, scroll down to Downloads folder, click Home, select Download.

Far as speed goes, while still not on a par with the best OS5, the features to me are worth it, and each upgrade has had marked improvement.

I'm on a 9650, using 415 kinda. As I said, I haven't had a problem clicking links in any OS6, across two devices. Had a 9700 on OS6 first. It's this the stock OS on your 9780, or have you loaded a new one? Seems a corrupt OS to me.

I'm always on WAP, so if I couldn't click a link, I'd be one mofo.
