Opinions wanted on upgrade

I am looking for some honest opinions on whether to upgrade to the 9700 or wait for the 9780. I currently own the Pearl 8110 and need a new phone and want to stay with BB. I understand the hardware and software difference between the 9700 and 9780 but wonder if it's worth the extra $120 to wait for AT&T to release the 9780. Here is what I have now and what I've been comparing in my decision making process.
My Pearl has only 64 MB of memory so the 70 MB of memory left over on the 9700 after upgrading to OS6 will be enough. I put Pandora, Mobipocket Reader, a card game and maybe a few other apps on the phone so space shouldn't be a problem.
I don't take many pics at all with the camera so even the camera on the 9700 will be an upgrade to what I have on the Pearl.
From the videos I've seen OS6 runs very well on the 9700 so I don't think the memory difference is that big of a deal for my needs. I guess my main question is there a difference between the 2 devices I am missing that would make one so much better than the other.

You've just answered your own question... save some cash and go for the 9700

I don't know about it now. I think that you have waited long too long. The 9780 should be coming out soon. I would think ion the next month or so. There really is no reason to not wait for it. If the price is what concerns you, you can get it from a third party retailer for very cheap. Wirefly usually has new BlackBerry devices on AT&T for free. I would go for that. So just wait and then you will have the latest and greatest and be content.

I think you should wait for the launch of 9780 on either case. Once 9780 is out, the price of 9700 will go down for sure. If money is what you concern, you can get 9700 with a cheaper price.

Thanks for everyone's reply, right now I'm gonna wait a bit, not too long though Pearl is on it's last legs, and see what deals Best Buy is offering on their free phone on Friday's campaign they've got going on thru October. If they offer the 9700 I'll get it, use the 30 days they give you to return and see if it is good enough for me. By then there should be a more definite release time frame on the 9780 or how long before AT&T releases OS6 to the 9700.
