Unhappy "no service currently available" PLEASE HELP.

okay well this is the information about my blackberry:

i got a blackberry bold 9780 about a week ago from a friend
    and the carrier is orange
before when i started off with this phone, everything worked perfectly fine (sms, calling, etc) but suddenly today, someone tried ringing me and it wouldn't ring, we both thought it wasn't my blackberry but then when i tried to ring someone, it keeps on coming up with an error saying "no service currently available and then it tried to text someone, and it came up with the usual delay clock, and after a while it comes up with a huge red cross. so, basically i can't text anyone, call anyone, or receive calls? but what's weird is that my bbm, e-mails, internet, etc works COMPLETELY FINE. also, i can't even ring orange!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i would really apprecciate it if anyone could give me the soloution to this problem, or anything i could do to fix it. i tried to research, and it's happened to loads of people but i haven't found an answer that could solve my actual problem. P.S, this isn't anything to do with firewall.

    PLEASE HELP, thanks for reading!

Are you still connected to your mobile network? You can check under Manage Connections.

Yep I am, infact it even displays my network and the box is ticked so I'm connected, I just logged on to my orange account and it says that I currently have £0:00 in my credit balance, but one and a half week ago I had £14:00 in my credit balance. Leave that to the side but no one can ring me?! And I can't ring orange?

I don't know if incoming calls are free in the UK, but if I were Orange, I wouldn't want to be stuck providing one-way service to a prepaid customer whose balance has run out.

Call Orange from a Land Line...

Have them troubleshoot your device with service books and such.

See if they can assist you.

thanks everyone, but i was just wondering, since i have to top up 5 pound every month on the exact date for blackberry internet services... On that "exact" date next month, even after i top up five pounds (I top up by card) will my bbm, e-mail, bis still work?! I'm really worried.

Incoming calls ARE free in the UK. Even if you have zero credit. Same with incoming text messages. We only pay for outgoing calls and texts.

Could be that you are missing the £5 per month payment to RIM. I have signed up to the Dolphin PAYG package and then add £10 per month. This gives me a 400 "free" texts and a miserly 100MB of internet access each month while also building a pot of cash to cover the few calls I do make.

Orange - Dolphin PAYG service plan

Just phone Orange Support and ask them what has happened. They can also confirm what happens if you don't pay that fiver a month to RIM.

Oh - and you don't need to top up on the exact day, just put some cash in before then and it will renew on the anniversary. If you don't put any money in, you get reminder texts.

Thanks much for the answer above! I'm on the canary package and everything works completely fine. But I can't receive texts/calls. Or send them/make a call? Not even to orange because it will say "no service currently available" :/ i don't mind that, but will my top up for blackerry internet services (bbm, e-mail, etc) go through? Anyone know? Help please!

    I mentioned this previously.
You need to call Orange from a Land Line.

The faulty services you describe are provided by the carrier, so they would be the ones to assist you.
Call them from the comfort of your couch.
