NFC Disabled?
My girlfriend just got a 9780 from Koodo. There's an option to turn NFC on or off. We've tried sending files from her phone to mine and vice versa. I've looked it up and apparently Koodo disables NFC on their phones. This also goes for a friend of mine who also owns a 9780 on Mobilicity. My question is, is the NFC antenna nonexistent in the phone itself or is it disabled via the software released? If it is the software, is there a way to enable it?

Re: NFC Disabled?
NFC is in the battery door, if you look inside your door you'll see some electronics, and it connects to a connector on the phone body. If you look inside her battery door it is probably plain plastic. On hers if the NFC electronic connector isn't there on the phone body it can't work. However, if there is the electronic connector on the phone itself you MAY be able to replace her battery door with an NFC one and get it working, but there could be more to it than that, ie does Koodo have to have something in backend enabled?
