Really? Well here in my device it appears just that bundle.. maybe it is because of my carrier? also a question, how long do i have to charge it? I did not charge it since i bought it

Your device and Desktop Manager will only show OS updates from your carrier, who are clearly lagging behind. You can install any 9780 OS version from any carrier on your phone via your PC. Have a quick search and you'll find plenty of instructions on how to do it.
As for charging, mine usually takes a couple of hours from empty to full. You can't over-charge your phone, so don't worry about how long you leave it. When it's full... you're done

Another question, can I install any OS 6 version, no matter my carrier?

LOL, I had already downloaded it. Sorry if it bothered.. I didn't quite catch up what the forum says about installing OS which are official but separately from a carrier. Is it by App Loader.. Also, i'm from Argentina, will there be a problem with it?
THANKS A LOT!
Edited: I have searched the forum and I found that .723 still has some bugs. Is there any that it's flawless?Last edited by pemarchon; 05-21-2012 at 09:39 PM.

Flawless? I don't think theres any OS version thats perfect. But so far my usage of .723 didn't face any problems other than the initial upgrading of OS to .723
I must add that, .723 has a much better battery life than the .5 i was using previously. And a change to the button for "All connections On/off". Other than that, I didn't really notice much difference, as an average BB user.
Regarding the difference between carrier and official OS, respective carriers in respective countries release only some official OS, not all. Due to whatever reasons, such as discontinuing support or maybe the OS does not have east asian language (assuming the carrier's country is from an asian country) and the list goes on. Hence, carrier OS often will not be updated until the latest official OS released by RIM. Therefore, its better to check on crackberry for the latest OS released rather than carrier OS releases (as they may be outdated)
Hope I helped

I stayed on .666 due to the BBM PIN messaging bug. I find that .666 has stunning battery life - measured in days. 3 or 4 days is not unusual.
One reason I like .666 so much is the UMA calling is VERY stable and very usable. Perfect for me as I have bad reception at home and often work in basements. (Your phone company needs to support it though)
You have a choice of .666, .668, .722, .723. From reading comments of the guys who disassemble the firmwares and make their own "home brews" it looks like .668 and .723 are related to each other and have that minor BBM PIN bug. With .666 and .722 seeming to give the best all round experience.
As you have no doubt found now, ANY firmware will work for you. All you need to
do is remove that vendor.xml file and you are good to go. - 07-05-2012, 02:14 PM #17

Ah... a friendly stalker.
You are right, I still don't use BBM or PIN which is why I had them confused. But when I see a bug like that I did wonder what else may be lurking out of sight.
.666 has done a stunning job for me. Especially compared with earlier releases. My heavy UMA use means I didn't want to experiment with something else. And I never have to do any of these daft battery pulls you see some people religiously talk of.
Also, I like 666 as a number. Was an Iron Maiden fan in my youth. And The Omen is among my favourite films.
I forgot about .706. In many ways, almost any of the post .650 versions are pretty good from what I read and my experience of .666. If we had had any real show stoppers there would have been more complaints in the forum. - 07-05-2012, 06:55 PM #19
.706 and .723 have the PIN bug
.666 and .722 use the same software platform and do not have the PIN bug.
.668 uses a slightly older software platform than .666/.722 and does not have the PIN bug.
I have used .666, .668, and .722 with equal success. - 07-05-2012, 10:52 PM

Hola!

I'm on .723 now. Everything is working good at the moment. PING messages work great, as usual. I have a question. Can it be that the speaker phone lost some bass? The battery gets drained when i turn de 3G on as a matter of speaking (in this case texting lol). Anyway, I still get a day out of it, listening to music from time to time, tweetting and texting a lot with BBM and Whatsapp. But I always use it with 2G.. Just 3G when I need to enter Facebook or to surf. Maybe .666 is better?

The PIN bug is a problem of stability. The PIN options on various menus will be present one day, but not the next. Sometimes a reboot will restore it, sometimes it will not. The PIN function will go weeks without problem, then disappear.
There are other minor problems as well with .706 and .723 that make it unsuitable for professional work. We have tested these OSs on several devices and carriers and they are not as stable as .666, .668, or .722.
