Default Images on HTML mail. Where are they stored?

    Hello people!

First timer here. I´ve got a situation I´d be realyl glad to find an answer, I hope you guys can help me.

I received and HTML email with an imagge in the "body" of the mail (not as an attachmente per se, but as a link, u know how that works). I choose to download the image and everything went great.

the problem is that the image was deleted from the server it was located on. However, everytime I open the mail on my BB, it still displays the image, but it won´t let me save it or do anything with it. when I forward the mail, it just forwards the link (obviously) and when I receive it on my computer, it just says that the image has been removed.

Obviously, the image has been downloaded to my phone... but the 64 million dollars question is WHERE?????

I´ve searched the freaking file everywhere, but to no avail... Any idea where it might be located? I just want to find it and copy it to my PC. I´ve tried elcomsoft blackberry backup explorer, but it´s not on the backup´d files....

    A million thanks in advance!!!!!!!

I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance! If you've tried mailing it to yourself and opening it up on your PC and have still found nothing; perhaps look into your Media Card file on your phone to see if it's randomly stored there. Try going to your photo app and looking through all those files. If none of those things work, try doing a battery pull and then see if you can find it. Good luck!

Most likely they are "stored" in the part of the device memory that is inaccessible to the user.

Your best best is likely to pull up the message and then just do a screenshot of each picture.

Some images have a protection on them than prevents them from copied and ultimately reused. If you are still having problems you may be able to ask the author of the image for permission to reuse to their image.

As a guess, this is going to be in a cache somewhere. But I am not sure if you can get at those kinds of hidden files on the phone. You'd need some kind of file explorer for the phone itself. (You need some of the phone hackers to answer this)
