I just wanna say this again!
What the was RIM thinking with their new OS7 devices and their new battery.
I have used 9000, 9700 and 9780 for all years...
Last week I bought myself a 9790 and the battery just sucks! I don't care about the thinner form factor wich RIM uses to protect their use of a smaller battery. If this phone came with the 1550 battery, this phone would maybe be the best Blackberry ever in my eyes.
My 9780!! This phone easly goes for 4 full days with some calls, bbm and text messages and mails. Some Facebook app use to, but I usualy log on and off when using it.
Well now, back to 9780 again, maybe the best Blackberry ever made (If you buy a new trackpad and replace it yourself in most of cases.
Btw, I remember my old Nokia e72... This phone lasted for 3 weeks when I was sailing in Greece, a couple of calls and some sms. Wickedsick. But of course, that one is old school now!

Well because all other phones are thin and slim and also have crappy battery life, and consumers dont think about battery life when they buy a smartphone. They assume it just works, and they find out afterwards (like in your case, see?). So they had to sacrifice and make thinner, more sleek devices because peopke thought of their 'older' devices as thick and clunky and fugly.

Yeah the battery life on my 9700 and 9780 is great, even with my constant twitter and Windows Live connections. Of course, I broke down and bought an extra battery and external charger so now battery consumption is a none issue. I just pop a newly charged battery and I'm good to go.
But still, a battery should last for 2 days minimum. Having to worry every day if the charge will last the entire day is silly. - 05-08-2012, 02:26 PM

Yeah! Im still in love with my 9780, I just went behind it's back with the 9790 for a week.
I don't think the 9780/9700 is clunky. It's just nice in the hand.
Also the 1500 battery from Nokia is just the same size as the new BB battery in my 9790.
