I get excited when I get confused! ha
Ok, so the 9780 will be a 9700 with a 5mp camera and 512mb app memory
The 9650 is the CDMA version of the Bold. It has 512mb app memory and the same camera as the 9700. The 9650 also has a Qualcomm MSM7600 528mhz processor, the 9700 and 9780 have Marvell 624mhz processors.
Anything else? - 09-03-2010, 06:47 PM #4
9780 and 9650 both have 512 mb RAM, so they're a bit faster. Also, the 9780 has a 5 mp camera, and the 9650 has a 3.2 mp camera. All 3 devices will run OS 6.

When it's released, I'm pretty sure the link will be up here asap (for free). The 9780 also may have WiFi N.

IEEE 802.11n-2009 is an amendment to the IEEE 802.11-2007 wireless networking standard to improve network throughput over the two previous standards — 802.11a and 802.11g — with a significant increase in the maximum raw data rate from 54 Mbit/s to 600 Mbit/s with the use of four spatial streams at a channel width of 40 MHz

is this difference important or no

Oh yeah, wireless N, It just means faster connection with WiFi if you have a wireless N router. If not or you don't use WiFi, it is not important.

G is fine, but N is a significant step up.

No one really knows how well OS6 will run on the 9700. Logic says it might be much better on the 9780 due to 2x memory.

Sure the wireless routers that have B/G/N are fast from computer-to-computer transfers over the network, but your ISP makes it a bottleneck when transferring over the web.
