    Default Earphones don't work

Last night I was listening to music on my 9780, I removed them in a hurry, and now when I try to listen to anything through any pairs of earphones on my phone, it doesn't work. Music will play through the speakers, but as soon as I plug earphones in, the volume control pops up with a red bubble icon with a line through a pair of earphones.
Will i need to take my phone in for repair or can I solve this myself?

    Thank you

Get a strong light and look into the headphone socket. Also check the headphones you remove to make sure they have not broken in the socket.

The headset port has three little tabs in it. You likely bent one of them, which now you'll need to go to a repair shop to have it replaced or repaired.
