A couple questions for a new user
Hey everyone! I just upgraded from a curve to the Bold 9780. Just a few questions:
1. The phone is saying that my WIFI is connected, but there's no WIFI symbol showing on the homescreen, so how do I know if the phone is using WIFI or my mobile network?
2. My BBM contacts transferred over from my other phone, but now no one's pictures are showing next to their names. How can I fix this?
3. In the middle of the screen toward the top, I have the facebook icon and I don't know why it's there or how I can get rid of it.

1. what are you viewing if you phone says your wifi is connected? Usually you can see the name of your network of i you push the bb buttom to get to the more apps page you will see the wifi symbol at the top.
2. It will take a little time for it all to update most likely but it will.

Yeah, the middle of the home screen in between the sound icon and the magnifying glass.

the facebook icon in the middle of the homescreen means you got a facebbook noticfaction

Thanks! But I still can't figure out the WIFI. My WIFI network name is displayed on the top of the homescreen, but isn't there supposed to be a lit up wifi symbol notifying me when my wifi is being used as opposed to the mobile network?

Its a signal symbol. Looks like this but with the period at the bottom and the curved lines going upwards (((.

Or better yet, go to manage connections. And turn wifi off, notice any symbols dissapear? Click it back on, see the one that just appeared...that would be the wifi symbol
