IMEI is device specific and not going to change.

You can't change your IMEI... and it's illegal anyway.
What are you trying to achieve exactly? - 07-25-2012, 07:46 AM

If there is no signal (no signal strength indicator bars, etc) there is a hardware problem, or it is OFF in Manage Connections.
IMEI and/or device PIN of a stolen phone may (will) be blocked, banned, barred, locked out, blacklisted, or any of the other similar expressions. In this case the signal indicator shows the phone has a signal - and it will attach to a cellular network as supported by the SIM (the network name will appear on screen, and in the Manage Connections/Mobile Network Options screen). You only find out IMEI is blocked when you try to make a call, and it fails.
As others have said, changing the IMEI of a phone is a crime, and in most western European countries it brings jail time extra to the time for being in possession of a stolen phone.

Change IMEI of a blackberry bold 9780
Well said Paul.
There are a few simple reasons for no signal...
1) The SIM card is a dud and needs changing
2) The phone is locked to a different carrier than the SIM card, and just needs unlocking
3) The phone is faulty and needs fixing
4) The OS is corrupt and needs reloading
Whatever the reason, the IMEI does not need to be changed. - 07-25-2012, 01:34 PM #11

Try answering some of the above questions before jumping to conclusions...
Does your SIM card work in another phone?
Is your SIM card from the same carrier as the one who supplied the phone?
Is your phone unlocked to accept your SIM card?
If you want to reinstall or upgrade your OS as we call it here (which won't help if the phone has been reported lost or stolen), then search. There are instructions all over this forum on how to do it. Like in post #2 of this thread!!!Last edited by Phill_UK; 07-26-2012 at 12:26 PM.

no one is going to help you "flash your mobile" since nothing you do to it will help you reach your goal.
changing IMEI's is illegal. there is no available software to help you do this anyway. installing/reinstalling the phones OS wont have any affect on the IMEI or the fact your phone doesnt work. the procedure to do this has already been posted in the second post in this thread. but again, it wont make the phone work either way.
as stated, it could be a bad SIM. check with your carrier. if the phone is indeed stolen, you are SOL and have no way to use it.
