    does anyone knows if a case for 9700 works on a 9780 model??

    9700 housing fits 9780. Bought a couple off ebay and they fit great!

    I'm pretty sure the only differences between the 9700 and 9780 are internal circuitry, not things like the case, display and keyboard.
    Why was God able to create the world in 7 days? He didn't have an installed base!

    The only difference between 9700 and 9780 are internal specs. It will work fine.

    I have a 9700 housing on my 9780 right now. No difference at all.

    Same phone, just internals are doubled/improved. Your case will fit just fine.
