can't upgrade apps - get message re install
Hi there:
For the last 2 weeks, when i try to upgrade an app in blackberry app world because there is a message that an upgrade is available, when I try to do the upgrade, I get a message that "There was a problem during installation. Please try again" with a blue OK button to press to leave the message area. I have tried removing the battery and it did not help. Please help me. I want the most current version of the apps to be on my phone, and I have plenty of memory available. Thanks! - 06-21-2012, 10:57 AM #2
Try doing a force reset on App World by pressing Alt R S T. This will only force AW to rebuild it's list of apps/updates.
If this doesn't work, you could try opening up AW on a computer and trying that way. If that doesn't work either, try looking for OTA downloads via developer website(s). - 06-21-2012, 12:51 PM #3
Or you could uninstall outdated app and re install from your uninstall list. If this makes sense to you. I hope it will.

Thanks OriginalLucy. This method worked (as ridiculous an effort it is - shouldn't need to do this!) and I now have upgraded apps.
