Bold 9780 help, white screen!
Hi guys ive looked all over the net and couldnt find a thing!
Basically i bought a blackberry bold 9780 from a mate and it was broken up, it had no screen or housing just the motherboard and keyboard really, i got the screen and i plugged it in, at first it was white and fading to black with loadsa stripes down the screen, now though its just a white screen, the phone has no memory card slot so i think maybe that may be the problem, right now all i got on is the screen though no housing, if i get a memory card reader and put it in would it work? Also when i try plugging it in, the computer recognizes it and its pin and so does desktop software but it doesnt conecct , it says it cannot connect to my device because battery is dead or needs to be updated, so when i update my bb it gets to reconnecting to jvm and then fails. ive tryed all the things like jm loader or whatever didnt work, please help also when i put my phone on charge its the white screen but as soon as i plug it out it turns off and i cannot turn it back on so im thinking it might be a problem with the battery aswell, but doubts are that its also the memory card as i think they do need ATLEAST the holders because of the very limited space in them for apps and i think thats whats stopping jvm aswell on application loader please help me as soon as possible please1!!!!!!!!!!! im TIRED

did you get the right screen for your phone? because blackberry lcd screens are numbered. so you would need to know what number was on the back of the original lcd screen and get the same one.
using the wrong screen will not display anything right.
have you tried wiping your device and updating it?
with the battery issue try using another charger and/or usb cable before you try another battery.
there shouldnt be an issue with the memory card when it comes to the jvm coz all the apps are installed and stored on the device. try wiping the phone first before trying different OS'es. I use BBSAK but theres several other programs out there. did your friend remove the memory card? because its very hard to take it out as you need to dis-assemble the phone and you would tell if its missing. part looks like this Replacement Micro SD Card Slot with Flex Cable for BlackBerry Bold 9700 9020 Onyx #Only $9.40 + High Quality Guarantee !Backups: Pearl 9100 & Blackberry Bold 9650 - Barracuda Crysis Hybrid Series 615, Blackberry Storm 2 9520 5.0.0.1077, Blackberry Bold 9780 - 6.0.0.723, Blackberry Bold 9700 (Black & White) (x2) - BerryLicious VI, iPhone 3GS - 5.0.1.
Im just a crackberry addict

I have run into issues with this several times with my friends bb9780 and 2 of my own. The rumour has it that some of the Bold 9780 has a bad connection between the LCD ''contact'' and the phone. You can try this by pushing hard down at the lcd screen in the area over the ''red- hang up'' button.
If you turn on your phone while pressing this down you can check if the screen gets stripes or colours other than just the white screen. In these cases I got new Bold's trough warranty.
Sorry for bad english
