Default BlackBerry Bold 9780 Battery problems!

I keep my Bold 9780 charging all night and unplug it in the morning. I use it regularly during the day and when my battery reaches a little less than half (not even orange) it shuts off and I have to plug it back in. Does anyone know what could be causing this? If so please help!

Same problem here! My battery percentage indicator used to be first orange, then it shuts down the antenna and after that the phone shut down. But now my bold shuts down between 45 and 25 percent. When I plug my phone into the charger, it says 2% battery :S
I updated yesterday my phone to .723. Battery life seems to be better, but I will leave it today without charging and see what will happen.

Too bad guys. Phone died yesterday at 25 %. I plugged it in and the battery showed 1%. The new OS .723 didn't helped although my battery life seemed to be better between 100-50%.
Does any body have another -software- solution? The original batteries of BB are freakin expensive here in the Netherlands ( 45 euros).

Thanks in advance.

Software doesn't fix a battery (hardware) component or problem. You'll need to get an extended or extra battery from shopcrackberry.com or ebay (where they're $12).

Download the device software from SK telecom, install it, delete any vendor.xml files found and then you'll be able to update it.

if the update doesn't fix it then download a battery app that tells you if your battery is "healthy". if it isn't then do what @rootbrian mentioned: buy a new battery.

i will find out what the app is called.
