Ok, I take it back. I did as you said, and still! The I.T. blocks are still on the phone.


All it did was update it by doing what u said. I need to know how to fully restore it to factory settings. Meaning, straight out of the box.

There are still restrictions on it.

Hi guys. I have a 9780 upgraded to .668.I have a problem with the autolock in holster.it happened all of a sudden. I've checked the settings in security options and it is checked. I've tried to change the holster with my friends who is using the same 9780 bb but it also does not work , but it works fine with his phone. Could it b the mangnetic sensor is defective? Any tips or help to fix this problem?
I really miss this facility which I think is the best thing since bread came sliced.

Wiping your phone will not remove an IT Policy. If you'd said that was your problem initially, I would have told you then.

Remove an I.T. Policy from a BlackBerry...

Hey, I've got a bit of an issue with my 9780. Sometimes for no apparent reason the brightness will go to max by itself, even when in settings its at 0. I've got automatically dim light unchecked, and checking it doesn't do anything. Just wondering if there's anyway to fix it as sometimes it stays like that for a long time, using up unnecessary battery life. Thanks!

Hi. I've recently been having an issue with the screen corrupting and occasionally being white. I've taken a photograph of it:



Is this the same as the white screen problem? Is it a hardware or software issue?
I've yet to try backing up and reinstalling OS as I can't find my cable. Is this likely to remedy the problem?
I would send it to blackberry for repair however I replaced the screen myself about 6 months ago which I imagine voids the warrenty (I had sat on it and cracked it, I don't think it was covered). If the warranty is void, how much roughly would it cost to repair?

Is there a reason why threaded text messaging does not work on the 9780? I don't think mine has ever worked, and I have searched for answers, yet cannot find a solution.

Ex) I send a group message to people and they all respond to all and can see the recipients, yet i cannot ever see who all got the message, when they sent, and none of the responses come in a threaded message. They all come in separate texts.

Is there an easy fix for this?

I am currently running on OS 6.0 Bundle 1879

please i have a problem with my bb9780 it is always restarting after i downloaded a slide software from my application wall. When rebooting the loading bar gets up to about 80% then the red indicator light comes up and it automatically restarts all over. this been on for two days now please help.

I have a Blackberry 9780 about 2 months now.
The first weeks worked so fine! Battery lasted for about 4 days with low use. Now, the last 2 weeks, with the same use, the battery lasts only for 1.5 day. I haven't change nothing at settings and, suddenly, the battery life ends so quick! What could be the problem?
Please, if anyone knows, help me!

The threading is a "per user" thing. When I look into my messages, I see each person's individual name. And then I can select them and scroll back the conversation with those individuals.

I don't send messages to groups of people, but I would assume the blackberry will just treat that as lots of single messages to each person in turn.

There is also no way to know if the person received your message.
