    Default blackberry 9780 os 6.0 to 5.0x

Has anyone thought that they may not like 6.0 and if it is possible to downgrade the 9780 to 5.0 I am wondering if it would be possible to go from 6.0 to 5.0x on the 9780

I am guessing would be possible... Just wondering if there is anything that might prevent it in the 5.0 os or 6.0 os

You would have to find 5.0 for the 9780 and I doubt that it exists. This would be a major problem. You will like 6.0 just fine. I have found it to be really dependable.

I only would ask one thing and that would be the ability to lock and unlock the horizontal movement of the menus

    Default 9780

So, there will be restrictions .. it sounds like on the 9780 - for os 5.0 maybe its the ram restrictions for the 5.0 .. and you will need 6 to maximize the ram capability

I am sure the 6.0 will be good, I tried it on the torch and was not liking it too much but I think the 6.0 on the 9780 will rock.

What was it that you did not like about 6.0 on the Torch?

I tried the Torch, too but disliked the touch screen thing. It seemed to get in the way rather than enhance. I want a real key board and hope that RIM never does away with them.

The 9780 on 6.0 is like the 9700 on steroids.

Where did you get a 9780? Where can I pick one up?

    Thanks.

torch was too heavy .. and the .246 was not ready really buggy , accelerometer jumpy, slider kind of a pain, key board a bit cramped .. but not too bad

From what I'm hearing, there should be some performance increase jumping to 6.0. It's turning out to be a very polished operating system.

The "feel" of OS6 on the 9800 can not be compared to OS6 on the 9780. 6 is MUCH better on the 9780!

I would tend to believe that .. OS 6 on 9800 is not the same as 9780.

9780 performance will be exceptional .. I have seen the 9700 version of os 6 on the BGR vid looked pretty good. But since then I am sure plenty has changed.
