Blackberry 9780 Holster not working!!

Hi!!!
I got my BlackBerry 9780 about 7 months ago... I stopped using my leather holster that came with the phone about 4 months ago after about 3 months of using it. It never gave me any problems.
Today, I decided to use it again, and for some reason, the auto lock feature (When sliding the phone into the holster) and the auto unlock feature (when sliding the phone out of the holster) is not working!!!
I don't know why!!! So please, can someone help me?!?

Make sure it is in the correct orientation front of BB facing front of holster. You can check whether or not it's the holster or the phone by putting a magnet on the cursor. I will look at mine and see if I am missing something.

Thanks for your help!!! But ironcicly, as I read your post, the holster began to work again... I don't know why or how it started to work!!! I tried the whole day trying to make It work!!!
But thanks anyway for your time and assistance...
