BB9780 and The dreaded Hour Glass

My bb 9780 occassionally will not work
I cant do anything with it
I see fleeting images of the hour glass

Sometimes I get Exceptional Error

I use my phone for business

Its got every txt message and email message stored on it

Plus 700 songs

Application Memory is 145.0 MB

Media Card

Total space 7.3 GB
Free Space 1.0 GB

What can I do to get it to work without having to wait until I can use it

Im on os6.0 Bundle 3049

Battery pull... and get rid of some of those texts/emails.

Is there a fast way to get rid of old txts and emails

Ideally Id love to be able to retain quite a few emails for reference

in the messages, click on "b" to go to the bottom... hold shift and scroll up to start selecting.. when you have selected enough messages, or till you reach a message you want to save, click the "del" button to delete!

i guess that's a pretty quick method!!

What OS version is that? I can't really tell from the bundle.

But, maybe u can try using hybrid OS or updating to the official released .723 OS.

There are a bunch of hybrid OS out there that really work and reduce loading time. So far I've been using one, never seen the days of the hourglass unless I was downloading/installing something from app world.

Backup your emails and texts. Then use something like Magic Berry to convert them to another format for a readable archive.

Then you can safely delete them all.

Do perform an OS upgrade. As noted by others, this will fix other bugs for you.

And chase through your installed applications and throw out any you are not using.
