I got quite a shock when I saw the update (bundle 2534) because I'm using BB9780 which is quite old already.

Nonetheless, the update appeared when I connected my bb to my laptop. I did a simple search of the bundle update to see what it does etc, and I found a link to the blackberry support community forum, and people were complaining about this update in MARCH 2011!

The other annoying issue is when I now turn on my phone you get a message asking if I want to call orange plus and I don’t seem to be able to delete it can anyone help

How come the update came so late for my BB, and should I go ahead with the update?

Also, is there any specific os update there would be better than this bundle update? I checked the stickies, and found a better update, would this be better?

EDIT : I just found out my the desktop app was not working properly, it showed an asterix that there was an update. Actually there wasn't any. However, I would still like to find out if I should get the Official OS 6.0.0.723 update?

Or is there any better non-official/official updates?

Also, does an update involve losing all the apps and data? Meaning I need to restore data after I update?
