BB 9780 error msg "No Service Currently Available"
I have a problem with my Blackberry Bold 9780. Everytime I try to make a call I get the following error msg "No Service Currently Available".
I have coverage, I can surf the net, use BBM, GTalk, email etc.. but I can not make/receive calls & txt messages.
I checked my SIM works on another device to rule out any network bars and I also checked with my network (O2 UK) that my IMEI is not blacklisted.
This happened just out of the blue, nothing changed on the phone - last upgrade was ~2-3 weeks.
Any idea why this happens?
I just wiped the phone using these instructions (KB18998-How to reset the BlackBerry smartphone to factory defaults) but still nothing.
I bought this phone from ebay, it’s branded on Virgin Media but it’s unlocked to all networks - it has been working fine for 6+ months. - 04-24-2012, 07:23 PM #3

I would say to continue to discuss the matter with your respective carriers.
All of the Voice and SMS services mentioned here are carrier related and supported.
It may involve some trouble shooting or reloading your OS over the phone with them.
But, this is all carrier related and they should assist you as a paying customer for services.MY TAKE ON THE BOLD 9900... I DON'T KNOW HOW, OR WHY, BUT IT WORKS!!!

I have also been getting "circuit unavailable" errors, as well as putting up with the usual keyboard multiple character problems. This is my second 9780. But, fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) this couldn't have been at a more opportune moment. Mid-april my GF bought me a Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 (GT-P6200). I was simply fed up and took the SIM out and used the tab as a phone instead. Not surprisingly, there weren't any problems with the SIM. My next phone will be Android-based, i will miss BBM, but there are always other IMs to use.
Nonetheless, regarding the OP, try and re-load the OS. I might still do that to see if it helps so I can sell it later on.Adios RIM...
