I bought a bb 9780 and the first few days I realized that the battery was lasting very little. I tried several things, use the backlight at 20, only 2G network, wifi off and the battery is still consumed in less than a day. I've tried to update it, reinstall the software and nothing works, I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem and it was not, the battery still lasts less than a day, what can I do?

If the BB is new, I think the battery needs time to settle in!

If you do full cycles (completely discharge, recharge again) when charging, I think the battery performs better over time im sure I did this with my old BB and it seemed to last a bit longer!

I'm doing this but the cell phone is losing at least 40% of battery with him off

I got my blackberry 9780 a few days agos and I let the battery die out, then charged it back up but it was practically charging from 3pm to 11am the next day and says it still isnt fully charged. Is there something wrong with my battery? am i doing something wrong? also i can't really tell if it is charging or not, or if it is fully charged. what should i do?

You're not supposed to do that with Lithium ion batteries (if by 'die out' you mean let it drain to 0% left)

I disable the compression data but didn't work. Someone else have another tip please. I read a lot of forums but nothing works =/
