Hi guys

hope someone out there can help me out. My battery is acting weird. When it reaches 20 percent battery, it always says battery draining, shutting down device. so technically my phone only has 80 percent of usable battery. Can someone help me out?

What OS version are you running? I used to have the same problem running .723 and .706. Installing .722 fixed it.

Of course, it could be a dying battery as well...but I imagine re-installing the OS would be a quicker possible fix.

sorry im a noob but how do i check which version im on and how do i downgrade it? i only know how to upgrade it haha! thanks for the advice

To check your version, press alt+shift+H, and look for app version.

Downgrading is the same procedure as upgrading, at least if you're doing it through loader.exe. Not sure about Desktop Manager.

If you have ever installed a phone OS on your computer, it should be on your computer. Look in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader or something like that. Also read this if you're doing a Loader upgrade/downgrade for the first time.
