any Email Software for Exchnge server
i am using exchange mail with BIS plan. the problem is that i have created several folder in my email account which i use on my PC. but on my BB handset i can only view "inbox" folder in my existing email application. i need to know if there is any email software with which i could view all folders of my email like i used to have on my android phone with normal GPRS connection.

Does the Exchange Server run the Blackberry Add-Ons? I don't know the exact details, but there is something about having to pay RIM for software to run on the Exchange Server. Your IT guys should know the details.
Nothing special needs to be done at the phone end. (Apart from the different setup with usernames and passwords) All the RIM specific stuff is at the server end. - 05-17-2012, 09:58 AM

i have configure this exchange email ID on the website of that my mobile service provider has given me (ufone.blackberry.com). minor configuration was made on that link (screenshot attached) and on my handset normal email application is working without any add-on.

Okay. Something is missing in translation here.
Have you talked to your email supplier?
I am guessing that this is an IMAP mailbox and not an Exchange one? When setting up your Blackberry, which type of email did you select?
Have you looked through your email settings on the phone to make sure you have subscribed to the IMAP folders if you are using IMAP? - 05-17-2012, 10:35 AM

my email is running through exchange server 2010. whenever i configure it on my android phone, i only put my exchange server address. (xyz.ptcl.net.pk) and my handset automatically sync all my emails, folders, contacts, etc. so on this BB page, i had to put my email ID and password only and my email started working on my BB cell phone but it didn't sync any of my contacts / folders etc.

Phone your mail provider for a better answer. Last time I had to look after Exchange Server accounts on a Blackberry for a client I remember it was a hassle to get the phone company to provide the correct service. I think the Blackberry had to be set to BES at the phone company. Then the Exchange Server details supplied by the mail provider worked well. Fully sync-ing the whole of Exchange Server.
The Blackberry phone has two different modes from your mobile phone provider - BIS and BES. One is for normal email, POP, IMAP type accounts. The other is for Exchange Server and more business based.
It's been a while since I did it, so maybe someone else with more current experience can give you a better answer here. - 05-17-2012, 11:22 AM #7
Read this: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...ats-difference
You need to ask your phone company to put you onto BES. Once that is done, you will be able to use all the features of Exchange Server.
Currently because your phone is on BIS it is only setting up IMAP or POP mail access to your mail server. - 05-21-2012, 10:26 PM #8
exchange does nothing for a bb without bes - the entire point of bes is to do what you want, redirect folders under outlook to your device, etc. its company based, a version of bes, and there are n/c versions, would have to be installed and maintained on the corp server or if you are hosted then just pay the ~$ 10/mon they normally change and activate you. once you use bes on a bb there is no going back, its what imo makes the device
