It seems that my volume down key is not working at all. Even tried a hard/soft press but nothing, not even a sound click. Any ideas please?

Is the phone still under warrenty? Looks like you might have to take it some where to get it fixed.

Has your phone been opened or dropped? they all have a small metal click button located right on the housing.. if your device was opened or even dropped its possible its out of place very easy to fix by yourself if you have the tools and cheap to purchase on line...

This sounds like a hardware issue and not a software problem; but try a battery pull anyway. I agree with the poster who asked if you were still under warranty. Even if you're not, go back to your carrier's store and see if you could send your phone off to get fixed - you might get a loaner phone (now, I know Rogers does this; but I'm not sure about other phone companies - but I am sure they have policies regarding these types of issues.). At the very least, they should be able to tell you what's going on; and offer you a solution. Good luck, and let us know what happens!
