Depends what youre looking for..games, business, entertainment, productivity....
Theres tons of free apps. Search App World for the top best free apps...
Some I use are Where and Poynt, Viigo, Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, Time magazine, a few local news apps, Weather apps...etc..
That's like asking "What's the best car?" or "What's the best kind of pizza?" It's all a personal preference.
That said, when you are looking at the theme threads, start with the ones that have more replies, they are usually the more popular themes, and typically they are for a reason.
It all depends on what you are looking for, try pimpmyberry.com you might find one you like there, they are free but you mght have to register to get more pics of what they look like. GL

i'm still using the precision with custom wallpaper. i have yet to find a theme that i really like. usually i find a nice one but the font would be too small. I dont understand why they change the fonts should allow the user to set the font and size.
I like ten (10) calendar events in my face (always visible) with 7 icons at the bottom; however, I would really like fifteen (15) calendar events and three (3) small icons (in the upper corners) -- but I cannot find such a theme -- I only need the speaker icon, the message envelope icon, and the blackberry messenger icon.
I have been using a nice theme from eVeek called Pandora for a while now, I will be sticking with it for a while since it gives me exactly what I want. It has six icons that are set and can't be changed but one of them brings up a hidden dock where you can set five of your favourite apps and another one that brings up another hidden dock where you can change your Phone Options, Connection Settings ect.

I like the modified zen theme. Stock theme with a weather slot in different colors. Green Orange and Blue. I also love Prov4 by Namtemz. All of these are free and in the 9700 theme section.

That's what I am using right now. I had one downloaded from app world called luncy but it was free when I downloaded it and when I got my replacement berry it was now a pay one so I had to go on the hunt for a new theme.
I personally hate today and love a lot of icons on the main screen so it worked well for me. It comes with variations. I have the ones with transitions because it looks nice imo.
