Won't recognize memory card??
Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm having problem with my Blackberry Bold 9700. I've had this problem for for month now. My phone won't recognize media/memory card. I've never had problem with it before it's scan disk memory card. I've formated memory card that didn't work. I was reading restore OS but I don't have lead to link it up to my PC. I bought the phone second hand. Any help would be great.
Many thanks

Sounds like your memory card said its good-bye
Maybe time to buy a new one? - 08-02-2012, 02:58 PM #5
I have had issues with sandisk cards, looks to be a problem with the memory card itself, I use kingston, having said that, before running out to buy a new card you could try to reformat the card out of the device using software called sdformatter https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/

it could also be that the memory card reader itself is faulty ... and yes they go bad without warning. It is located in the housing of the phone and is connected to the circuit board via a "ribbon".
See picture I just took below showing the ribbon at the top of the back housing... that ribbon is connected to the mem. card reader
