wifi only, what can i do? and what not?

Hello,

A friend's child of mine has a Bold 9700 and has no data plan.
I managed to get internet browser working (hotspot), but i can't access other services:
blackberry app world, and get the apps to work that are on it (whatsapp, msn, hyves.....)

Is this possible on wifi only? or should we just give up?

Only app that runs on wifi will work in your case. I also have a retired 9700 and been using it for web, BeWeather and an alarm clock

this. That is all. Wifi is basically web-only aside from a few apps which is listed below (or above) a few posts before mine.
