Default Wifi and Internet Broswing Help

    Hey,

I am able to connect to my home wifi, college campus wifi and more, but how can I be certain that I will not be using data?

What I am doing now is going to menu>manage connections> clicking on wifi> clicking on browser. Is this the proper way to connect to Wifi and not be charged as far as using data goes?

I always go to manage connections and turn off my mobile network before turning on my wi-fi

Okay, thank you! I was wondering if I should do that or not. Do you know if it makes a difference if you leave the mobile network on or off?

No, keep the mobile network on so you can get calls/texts.

Okay, haha, I was also wondering that. So if I keep the mobile network turned on and turn on my wifi, I will not be charged as far as data usage goes?

OH. Sorry, misread your post and whatnot.
Have you turned off your Data Services and just used Wi-Fi to see if that works?
Also, monitoring your usage online to see your data is a good idea too.

I'm not sure what you mean by turning off data services. I need to have a BlackBerry Data Plan. Is this something you turn off temporarily on your phone like a wifi connection?

All I'm wondering is if I am connected to wifi, will I be charged for data usage?
