Default Why won't my text messages open?

When receiving the odd text, sometimes it won't let me open and read the text message. I have to delete all the messages before then ask the person to send it again before i can read them!
This has happened with my girlfriends messages really (she sends a lot), so is it because it can only handle so many text messages in the blackberry?

Yes there has been a random bug.

I just open another older message. And then the new message will open.

Happens to me sometimes too. I just go to the menu to submit a new sms to the person and the original texting message string opens up.

The exact same thing has happened to me, also with my girlfriend's text messages, who also sends me a lot of messages. And yes, it also pissed me off. This was the reason that I exchanged my phone on one occasion, on one of the five occasions that I've had to do an exchange that is.

Refer to this thread since this guy started it before you: http://forums.crackberry.com/f146/we...s-text-388176/

    It's a unsolved mystery.

I'm running .421 (Latest leaked OS) and it happened again today when I was texting my gf.

This happens to me all the time. When this happens you don't have to delete your whole conversation, just press the bb button and click on compose new sms then just type in the contact that you weren't aloud to open up the text with and it will automatically bring you into it. Yes this shouldn't be happening but I guess this is a decent work around.

I've had something similar happen, except it is the message under the one I'm trying to open that actually opens up.

    Hi guys,
I relate so much to your question, this literally has happened to me many times, to my boyfriend, like you, who I text a lot. Annoying, right?
I did the same, erased the whole conversation and asked him to send again, I do believe there are more affective ways, yet to be found?
However, for me, if one way doesn't work, then here are a few solutions you can try:
    - take out battery from your device for 30 seconds.
    - turn off device (this doesn't always work, but worth a try, for can stop any inconvenience)
    - Reboot whole phone, maybe by downloading something from BlackBerry App World, when it asks you to reboot, press okay and it should reboot your whole device, inclusing messages ect. *always works for me, never failed.
    - If none of these work (which is highly unusual) then take to the store you bought the device from, i.e. The Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4 U etc. or, furthermore, if you bought the BlackBerry from an online site i.e. eBay, then take it to your service provider's shop, i.e. Orange shop, T-Mobile ect.
    - Or, if you don't want to have your phone missing for a couple of weeks (for it'll usually take this long for the repair) then simply ask them to update the new software to your BlackBerry, and along with that the messages should be updated and repaired.

I have had a BlackBerry for about 10 months now, 2 phones in that time period for my other one crashed, brilliant phones but many flaws I really think they need to sort out on their next software updates for the New Year. Have a Merry Christmas. Hope this helped!
