    Default Voicemail Indicator

I just got my Bold 9700 a week ago and have been learning all the tips and tricks using this site. Thanks Crackberry and all its helpful users and posters.

I just have one question which i cant seem to find the answer for.

Ever since I got the new phone there hasnt been a voicemail indicator.
When I miss a call and someone leaves a message I dont see an icon saying I have a message waiting so i never bother to check my messages but apparently have missed many important messages. I got a Spinvox message once which apparently was a voicemail to text thing which i found interesting and actually that was how I found out I had a voicemail waiting. is there something I need to set for the phone to show me an icon?
The phone has Icons for everything else, I get icons for emails and bbm and txts and all that stuff im assuming it has a voicemail indicator as well?

    thanks in advance...

I had to enable Visual Voicemail service. I called up customer service. Free for T-mobile. Not sure about other carriers. Now it displays an Icon and downloads the message, no more minutes used to check voicemail.
