Default Verison 9700 work on Sprint?

Alright, so due to some gravity issues, my 9330 is broke and a friend has 9700 that I could use. The catch is that it's on Verison and I have Sprint. Is there anyway possible that I can use this on my Sprint network? It's already unlocked and I have heard something like Verison not releasing the ESM. Would there be anyway to use a Sprint SIM card on the device and find any software that can change the network to Sprint and change the number. I don't know, I have been disconnected from the mobile world for some time now. If you could help me out, I would be very thankful.

First of all, Sprint or Verizon has never offered the 9700, only the 96XX.
Secondly, neither carrier uses SIM cards in the US, only over seas are they used.
Lastly, No, Verizon and Sprint will ONLY activate phones that are theirs. No ifs, ands, or buts about it...

I have a 9700 on verison right here that takes a SIM card. I can post pictures if you'd like. And it did require the SIM card.

Yes, please do!

Also, if you type "myver" without the quotes, then a space. It will show you your device model number and the software version it's using. This can be done almost anywhere in the phone...

BTW, it's VeriZon

No, can't be done Sprint/Verizon phones are CDMA. While ATT and tmobile phones are GSM. GSM phones only take sim cards and have no esn's and are not compatible with CDMA phones. Its simply a different technology with different frequencies. Some world phones Sprint offers like the 9650 or the 9630 have a GSM sim card slot with a Sprint sim card which does not work in the United States, it is only there for you to roam on when u travel elsewhere in the world.

Blackberry 9700 is a GSM device and if you have a Blackberry 9700 with a Verizon SIM card inside of it then you should know it has nothing to do with Verizon.

Verizon is CDMA carrier and the SIM card is used for overseas plans.. that's it.

You can't use a Verizon device with Sprint, you can use unlocked Blackberry Bold 9700 with t-mobile, At&t and other GSM carriers worldwide.
