v6 - How to install??

First post, very new to this.. forgive me!
I have blackberry desktop software on my mac already, but my device software is still v5 something er other. I would like v6, as I have read that v7 is not available on the bold 9700. Was wondering if anyone could help send a link as to how and where i can update this.

You should 'shrink' the OS6 file before install to give you better memory management.

You'll need to install Virtualbox from virtualbox.org or Bootcamp, plus have a Windows XP CD ready, to have OS 6 loaded on your blackberry if you plan to shrink it. Jus thought I should let you know before you ask about .exe files or how to install them.
