Unhappy Upgraded to 9700 today: "SIM not Provisioned:2"

I walked into the AT&T company store today, impatient as a little kid on Christmas, knew what I wanted, had a knowledgeable rep, everything was going great... Until it was time to activate my SIM.

I've been sitting here power cycling my phone for 2 hours waiting to see anything other than "SIM not Provisioned:2" and the Red SOS in the top right corner... Already had one call into CS and they told me to wait... I don't have ANY phone right now. Not cool. Is anyone else having a problem activating today? Or is this just HTC jinxing me for leaving them?

They tried a new SIM in mine, so I'm on new SIM #2. Still waiting. The rep didn't seem like she was too eager to try #3 lol.

I just upgraded but they told me I needed a new SIM, I didn't see it being a problem at the time so I went along with it. In retrospect, I should have went that route.

It's an AT&T problem. I just got off the phone with a rep there.

Looks to be working now!

Did they update the Sim card # in the computer, I had this happen to me actually 3 times in 3 days, the first 2 times did a new Sim card, third time, just called Customer care and had them reinput the Sim card # into the system. For some reason it just dropped the Sim information out of the system and treated the Sim card like it was valid, hence the nor provisioned message. It's easily fixable, just tell the rep you need the information put back in. As for why that happened to me and now it seems to others, hard to say. Hope that helps in a little way.

Prob a good idea to call and activate the SIM. I cant imagine they ship it activated/attached to your account sine you have a current SIM in there running.
