Update OS, can't sync contacts/calendar
Hi Gang,
I've searched all over for a solution to this and can't seem to find one.
I just did a full wipe of my Bold 9700 and a re-install of the OS. There was an update (6.0 Bundle 2921) available so I installed that.
No problems with installation.
I went to set up my email account, which is a Google Apps account. The email setup icon did nothing, just sat there. I found through searching that this is a known issue and there is a work-around. No problem - I set up the account through mobile.blackberry.com as directed.
However, when I logged into bis.rogers.com to confirm settings and sync calendar and contacts (it has done it automatically for some time), it told me I would need to use the email setup app on the phone to perform a Security Activation.
Of course I can't do this since the app is not working.
Is there a manual way to get around this similar to the email setup?
