Unknown Number
Can you someone really explain how to take off the "unknown number" when dialling anyone ?
Its NOT the "show my number" on the calls menu , it appears when you are making a call .
Please help .
Thanks

Thanks Phil but it gave me the error "Access Denied to SIM" .
Can you tell me how to completely remove it ? Like I also don't want it to show my number .

I don't think you can remove it
It either shows your number, or unknown number.
To enable access, just disable the SIM security in the same menu.

This is also done on the Carriers network.
Call them and make sure that your ID is not restricted on their network.
I'm with Bell, and they ask when you sign up whether you want a restricted id or a public id.BIG UP BIG UP, ITS A STICK UP STICK UP
I may be blunt, but it was the only way you would understand! @Fubaz

No. This is just the number that shows on the dialling and call log screens.
It will not be transmitted via SMS/calls etc. to the receiver.
You can disable this number from showing on the call log screen by:-
Options > Phone Options > General Options > Show "My Number" = No
...but you cannot disable this number from showing on the dialling screen• That's Phill… with 2 L's ☺ - 01-04-2010, 09:02 AM

Phil , sorry to be a bother but in the same menu on top , it already says "security disabled" . I tried a few battery pulls but doesn't seem to work . Any solution you have in mind ?
