My bold 9700 wont send or recieve texts but i can still call and browse with it. Tried Battery reboot and every time nothing changes and im faced with this message when the reboot is complete:

Never had any problems with the phone (Had it since Oct 2010) and currently on v5.0.0.586 if thats any help to you.

Sorry for my lack of technical grammer.

Kevin, why do you say he's in the wrong section? This is the 9700 forum. Not 9790!

I would reload the OS and start from fresh. Why don't you try a later version of OS5. My wife runs 862 on her 9700 and it's really solid with loads of apps. I also used to use 862 until a year ago when I moved to OS6.

Without going into what would be a lengthy post here, search for Elite's Upgrade Guide or you can find out how to upgrade in the Blackberry 101 forum.
