Transferring data from old bb to new bb without a screen or scroller - HELP

Right so this is a strange thread to start so i couldnt find anything about it.
Just got a new blackberry 9900, got the media card from my OLD 9700

The 9700s screen is completely white and dead, and the scroller doesnt click or... scroll.
To get everything i can off the blackberry the only way i can is putting the Memory card in my new 9900, or connecting it to the computer by usb.

Only thing from the 1gb memory card from 9700 it tranfers to 9900 is the pictures and videos, i need the NUMBER CONTACTS, and BBM CONTACTS! and whatever else i can find on there before the number is transferred to new network.

SO, i plugged in the 9700 with usb and mini sd card in there, makes the connected noise and obviously connects. Only problem is -

I have a 4 digit passcode on there, no scroller, and no screen - SO it doesnt appear in ''My computer'' on laptop.

I have forgotten what you have to do say the screen was there to connect it to the laptop, i know there was a few options to click on e.g ''charge only'' so im pretty hopeless.

Can someone please help me out with the following:

1. Pretend you have no scroller, only keys and the ENTER key to click on things, and how you would get about typing in your pin and making the BB 9700 appear in my computer so i can get my stuff off it!

2. I made a backup of bbm contacts on my 9700, not sure if they saved to phone memory or media card, and how i would get about retrieving these back?

3. Sim card saved like 20 contacts out of 300 (useless amounts of storage on those sim cards),so those contacts are either on the phone memory or media card (didnt appear in 9900 when inserting media card)

4. Phone was still receiving things when phone screen died etc, so they will have shown as delivered to the other person but as if they were ignored, any way of reading text messages and bbms through the computer/ new phone?

4. Thats it! (hahaha) Sorry for the long post, ive been trying last 2 days and really need some assistance as had built up an important number of phone numbers and contacts.

so long as your 9700 is detected by desktop manager, you can enter your password via computer and backup as normal.
